Biltwell Event Center Hosting Its First, Socially Distant Summer Fair

Come one, come all! (But remember to stay at least six feet apart!) The Biltwell Event Center is hosting its first ever, Summer Fair this Sunday, August 30 from 4 to 9 p.m., located at 950 S. White River Parkway West in Indianapolis.

What are a few things you can expect to find at this fun-filled, family-friendly community based weekend event? Your favorite fair foods, live music, and hot air balloon rides! (That’s a BIG deal!) There will also be a petting zoo and pony rides for the kids to enjoy, carnival games for the whole family, a psychic fair, craft fair & demos, plus a beer garden with a DJ for the adults.

Mark Mattingly, Director of Venue Sales at the Biltwell Center, says it’s all about making an event where people can come to and feel safe and making it known they are honoring social distancing. “A lot of the activities are outdoor. Hand sanitizing stations and masks will also be made available.”

Mattingly adds that some changes at the Biltwell Event Center have been put in place within the last several months since the pandemic hit, ensuring to stay in accordance with CDC guidelines to help stop the spread of COVID-19 while still trying to maintain some type normalcy among clients and patrons. “We are moving right along,” he explained. “We’re following all the CDC guidelines. Our clients are still coming out and following the rules. Everyone is still having a great time. Last weekend we had two or three events and our servers are in masks and gloves, that has changed.”
