JAM Printing & Promotions Announces Two Printing Grants for Veteran-Owned Businesses in Indiana

JAM Printing & Promotions, a Certified Veteran-Owned printing and promotional products agency located in Plainfield, Ind., announces the release of two printing grants worth $500 each. Each grant is valid for $500 worth of printing or promotional materials for the use of marketing a Veteran-Owned Business after the COVID-19 crisis. “As a Veteran-Owned business ourselves, we know that the pandemic has hit Vet-Owned businesses especially hard,” said JAM owner Jerry Sheffer. “For most of these businesses, marketing and promotion will be key factors in whether these companies survive.”

Marketing and promotion are at the heart of JAM Printing & Promotions, and while they
recognize that the COVID-19 pandemic has created challenges for all businesses, “We have a
soft spot for our fellow Veteran-Owned businesses. We have decided to take a portion of our
marketing budget for 2020 and award two grants to help our fellow Hoosier Veterans. With
one of these awards, a business could use the funds to purchase marketing materials to help
rebound,” Sheffer, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force said. “We feel that by awarding these grants to
our fellow Vets, we can show our support and hopefully have a positive impact on their
businesses.”

Roughly 9.7% of the total number of businesses in Indiana are majority-owned (51%+) by
veterans, which is higher than the national state average of 9.04%. “Veterans are by nature tough, resilient. They have given a lot for our country and for protecting our freedoms, and as business owners they overcome adversity extremely well. But with the pandemic’s shutdown and the overall upheaval in the economy, Veteran Business Owners are now faced with a new set of challenges that could deal a serious blow to their livelihood,” said Amber Sheffer, CEO at JAM.
