Fishers Takes Annual Touch-a-Truck Event to New Levels with City Open House

The City of Fishers invites families to the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater for the City Open House and Touch-A-Truck on May 22 from 3 – 8 p.m. Building off the popular annual Touch-a-Truck Event, children can interact with construction equipment, snow plows, fire trucks, police cars, and more. Adults and children alike will enjoy exploring and learning about the city’s departments, including Fishers Police Department, Fishers Fire Department, Department of Public Works, Fishers Parks & Recreation, Engineering, and City Hall. Live demonstrations of road paving, K-9 exercises, and extraction begin at 5 p.m.  On the heels of March’s Disability Awareness Month, this event is ADA accessible and ASL interpreters will be available from 5-8 p.m. Food trucks will also be on-site. This all-ages, free public event will be fun for the whole family!
