Get a Taste of Local This Saturday at Sullivan Hardware & Garden

Indiana Originals is giving you a taste of local and a last chance at Mother's Day shopping this Saturday! Join us at Sullivan Hardware & Garden at 71st and Keystone from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for great sales in the garden center and great deals from local Indianapolis, Carmel, Shelbyville, Westfield, and Fort Wayne businesses.  This event is free. Indiana Originals promotes Indiana products, Indiana places, and Indiana service providers. Indiana Originals simplifies the search for local by providing a growing, statewide directory of locally owned and operated businesses headquartered in Indiana. Online and on their app, you can find many of today's featured Indiana Originals members and you can meet several business owners in person on Saturday at our special pop-up at Sullivan Hardware & Garden from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

  • My Pretty Little Pretzel: Since 2008, Kate has been creating sweets for friends and family across Central Indiana. Several years ago, she was introduced to a truffle recipe that simply was unrivaled but time-consuming and not easily made.  After a complete life changing event which concluded with a back surgery in March 2016 and with the support and encouragement of her closest friends, “think tank” and taste testers, she took her hobby and love for creating customized pretzels and truffles and turned it into a business.

She pays tribute to the person who taught her how to cook, Grandma Robbins, starting on her birthday in October of 2007. With this business, Leigh tries to incorporate as many local ingredients as possible. “Our mission is to help build a sustainable community, by producing food products made with the fresh local bounty”. We are raising the awareness of nutrition by attending local farmers markets. With this, Big Brick House is contributing to a flourishing local economy and sets a standard for future growth in Indiana.
