Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay to visit IMS on Saturday, Oct. 15

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway will host the Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay on the final day of its tour through Indiana. Town of Speedway residents and fans of IMS are encouraged to attend the Opening Ceremonies, including the Torch riding in a two-seat IndyCar driven by former IndyCar driver and team owner Sarah Fisher. Mayor Joe Hogsett will be on hand to mark the important occasion as well. 

The Torch Lighting ceremony will begin at Victory Podium at IMS at 8:30 a.m. Fans can enter via Gate 2 at 8 a.m. They will be guided by IMS Yellow Shirts to parking located in the Media Gravel Lot and will be able to watch the event from Victory Podium area near Pit Lane.
