mack's new marketComing to the Wabash Valley, September 18 and 19, is an all-new event at The Red Barn at Sycamore Farm. Mack’s New Market, a Vintage, Antiques and Handmade Sale, will be host to an exclusive fall show featuring a wide selection of original works hand selected for The Farm’s special guests. “This whole show has been a jury process, so each vendor who has been accepted has sent in an application and photos of their work,” commented Event Coordinator, Gretchen Kraut. “Each vendor has a story to tell through their work. We are excited to promote and support our local artisans and makers at this first time event.” The vendors have been meticulously selected by Gretchen and family. Each will display a unique variety of handcrafted work. Some of the top vendors carefully chosen include; Hendersweet Jewelry featuring vintage style jewelry, classic literature and old hymnals; Retro 101, Indianapolis’s first boutique on wheels, featuring new trends at affordable prices; Jilly Jack Designs featuring hand printed letterpress stationery, posters, coasters and custom paper goods. Fall items will also be available for purchase including pumpkins, mums and outdoor décor. The Market will be available to guests Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. A VIP Preview Party will be offered to guests (with ticket purchase) Friday Evening from 5-8 p.m. featuring live music, a cash bar, and appetizers from The Sycamore Farm’s very own Butler’s Pantry. Mack’s New Market is named for J. Mack Wilson, a descendant of the original family who owned the 800-acre farmstead, The Sycamore Farm. Among his many skills, Mack operated an antique shop in The Red Barn. Current operators, Kris and Gretchen Kraut, seek to provide the community with the excellent service, history and charm of this one-of-a-kind venue. The Red Barn is host to numerous events such as weddings, family gatherings, corporate meetings, parties and much more.
