National Maple Syrup Festival Comes to Brown County, March 5-8
Brown County is proud to be the new home of the National Maple Syrup Festival! On March 5-8, Brown County will celebrate all things maple and invites you to join! Geographically, Indiana holds the southern and westernmost position in the United States’ Maple Sugar Belt meaning as winter gives way to spring the sap flows first in Indiana’s maple stands. Experience the sugaring process firsthand and learn the sweet history behind maple syrup production. Enjoy live sugaring demonstrations, historical reenactments, interpretive hikes in the State Park, a dinner series featuring maple experts, a culinary competition, a pancake breakfast, an Artists' Paint Out, live campfire cooking demonstrations, the sale of maple-related goods and foods, family fun, and much more. Experience Brown County like never before as you savor the sweetness of the 2015 National Maple Syrup Festival! For more information, visit nationalmaplesyrupfestival.com.
